What is Laser Disc Decompression?
Percutaneous laser disc decompression (PLDD) is a method of relieving pressure on nerve roots in the spine, such as from herniated discs. Compressed nerve roots can cause pain, tingling, numbness, weakness and other symptoms in the back, neck, arms and legs.

Instead of surgically removing the source of the compression, laser disc decompression works by using laser energy to destroy it. PLDD is safe, effective and minimally invasive, and for these reasons it is the procedure of choice at Edison Spine Center.



Operated with 400um/600um fiber optic, Chearylas 1470nm laser system is a versatile, multifunctional
medical diode laser machine ideal for minimal invasive PLDD.

The Cherylas 1470nm, with higher water absorption, enables precision ablation and highly localized heating, being advantageous around critical structures. thanks to its outstanding interaction in water and haemoglobin and moderate penetration depth into disc tissue, enables procedures to be carried out safely and accurately,especially in proximity of delicate anatomical structures.

Interactive User Interface
