Gabions are rectangular wire mesh baskets filled with rock at the project site to form flexible, permeable, monolithic structures,such as retaining walls for commercial, industrial and road projects. They are also used for erosion control, bank stabilization,channel linings and weirs.

Surface Treatment of Gabion Mesh Basket:
a. Hot-dipped galvanized , Mass of Zinc Coating , Up to 300g/m2
b. PVC Coated Mattresses and gabion baskets are also available with
a 0.5mm nominal thickness P.V.C. coating to enhance the
resistance of the baskets to corrosion of the wire mesh. This
provides a overall increase in diameter of 1mm to all wires used in
the manufacturing process.
c. Galfan, 95% zinc, 5% aluminum
