The coal management of thermal power plant is an important part of production management, which has a direct impact on the economic indicators of the power plant. Therefore, it is urgent to quickly and accurately measure the coal storage and daily consumption of the coal yard, so as to facilitate the cost accounting, economic benefit evaluation and scientific management of the power plant. The measurement of coal stockpile reserves (coal storage) is an important measurement work for thermal power plants, coal mines and other units. It is mainly to measure the volume of coal stockpile. The traditional measurement method is to shape the coal stockpile with bulldozer, artificially push it into an approximate trapezoid, and then measure it manually, or calculate it by making coal stockpile profile. This method requires that the bottom surface is flat, put more manpower and material resources. The measurement error is large and the efficiency is low.


Hi-Cloud HS1000i 3D laser scanning technology solution, not attached to any equipment, does not require the flatness of the bottom of the coal storage yard and regular shape. Through short-time intensive high-precision laser scanning, it establishes a high-resolution real size 3D TIN model of the whole coal pile, and directly calculates and outputs a detailed volume report. Due to the extremely short time-consuming of counting once, it can realize daily scanning and even shorter time interval detection; calculate the 3D TIN model at the same time every day to output the volume change (daily consumption) report. It has the characteristics of automatic operation, time-saving, fast, accurate and relatively economic, which is very beneficial to the lean management in the power plant.
