Boiler Steel Tube Product Description

High pressure boiler tube is a kind of boiler tube, belongs to the seamless steel tube category. The manufacturing method is the same as seamless tube high pressure boiler tube, but there are strict requirements on the grade of steel used to manufacture steel tube. High-pressure boiler tubes are often used under high temperature and high pressure conditions. High pressure boiler tube is mainly used to manufacture superheater tube, reheater tube, conduit pipe, main steam pipe and so on of high pressure and ultra high pressure boiler.

Because boiler tube works under high temperature and high pressure for a long time, material will creep, plasticity and toughness decline, original organization change, corrosion and so on. Steel tubes used as boilers shall have :(1) adequate durable strength; (2) Sufficient plastic deformation capacity; (3) Minimum aging tendency and thermal brittleness; (4) high oxidation resistance, coal ash resistance, high temperature resistance to natural gas corrosion, steam and stress corrosion performance; (5) Good organizational stability and good process performance. The steel of high pressure boiler tube is carbon steel and pearlite, ferritic and austenitic stainless heat resistant steel. In order to improve the thermal efficiency of thermal power generating units and reduce fuel consumption, the development of large capacity, high parameter (high temperature, high pressure) thermal power generating units (more than 1000MW) is given priority to in the world. Steam pressure increased to 31.5 ~ 34.3MPa, superheated steam temperature up to 595 ~ 650℃, to the development of ultra-high pressure critical pressure, so high pressure boiler tube put forward higher requirements. A new steel grade was developed to meet the demand of high parameter power plant boiler.

Boiler Steel Tube Application

1. General boiler tube is mainly used to manufacture water wall tube, boiling water tube, superheated steam tube, locomotive boiler superheated steam tube, large and small smoke pipe and arch brick pipe.

2. High pressure boiler tube is mainly used to manufacture superheater tube, reheater tube, pipe, main steam pipe, etc.

The production technology of high pressure boiler tube varies with different steel grades. Taking the pearling-shaped chromium-molybdenum-vanadium steel as an example, the production process characteristics of boiler tube are as follows :

(1) the tube blank should be peeled, and the peeling quantity is usually 5mm;

(2) Because the steel is hard, the tube billet is usually cut by oxygen or saw;

(3) Because the thermal conductivity of chromium-molybdenum-vanadium steel is lower than that of carbon steel, the heating speed should be slightly slower, the heating temperature is 1120 ~ 1180℃, the perforation temperature is 1100 ~ 1160℃;

(4) This kind of steel has good plasticity and low deformation resistance in the range of 1000 ~ 1100℃, so the perforation performance is better, deformation parameters can be selected according to medium carbon steel or alloy steel (such as 30CrMnSiA);

(5) After rolling, the steel pipe should be normalized and tempered, the normalized temperature is 950 ~ 980℃, the tempering temperature is 730 ~ 750℃, and the holding time is 2 ~ 3h;

(6) Steel pipe size tolerance is strict to ensure butt welding; Pipe length should be as long as possible to reduce the number of welds.
