Lock crimp is comprised of pre-crimped wire featuring the formation of knuckles or bumps over intersecting sets of wires. This locks the mesh in place to create an extremely rigid product.Lock crimped wire mesh/screen is produced on looms by weaving previously crimped wires.

This type of wire mesh prevents materials from slipping down and is commonly used as heavy duty wire mesh in the mining and architectural applications. Lock crimped weave is a more modern crimp style, the warp wire and weft wire are crimping at the points of intersection and have clear bumps, while the wires on a lock crimp are straight between intersections.

The lock crimp wire mesh is manufactured by weaving pre-crimped wires. The characteristic of the lock crimp is that its warp and weft are crimped at the intersection and have distinct humps, and the wire in between the intersection is straight.

This crimping pattern locks the wires tightly together, further ensuring that the wires will not move, and improving the stability of the screen. Lock crimp wire mesh provides a stable mesh structure, which makes it an ideal choice for vibrating screens in mining & construction industries and decorative mesh in architecture industries.
