Developed to combat common corrosion problems in 300 series stainless steels, 2205 duplex stainless steel is a nitrogen-enhanced duplex stainless steel. It is made up of 40-50% ferrite in annealed condition.

Due to its nitrogen content, 2205 duplex stainless steel shows higher corrosion resistance to chloride pitting and crevice corrosion. It has a wide variety of applications in many areas including marine services, brackish water, bleaching operations, closed loops, and food processing. In these areas, 2205 duplex stainless steel outperforms common stainless Steels like SS 316L and SS 317L.

However, usage should be limited to temperatures below 600°F. Prolonged elevated temperatures may embrittle the 2205 duplex stainless steel.

Features:

Each one tubing coil is a continuous length with no orbital welds. Its quality is guaranteed by hydrostatic testing at a minimum of 10,000 psi; such a test can be attended by third-party inspectors.

In order to check material quality, Meilong Tube performs a series of tests, including eddy current test, chemical tests, flattening, flaring, tensile, yield, elongation, and hardness. Vacuum annealing for injection lines is also implemented as it ensures volatility of metallic oxides and removes residual degreasing solvents or drawing lubricants.
