Product Description:

Identification of the correct replacement pad is facilitated via dot codes printed on the pads which includes details on the manufacturer, compound type, date of manufacture, and vehicle application. Racing-type materials such as sintered metal may be used for performance pads and can include drilled holes for improved cooling. Ceramic pads are known for producing less dust than semi-metallics but could potentially be more fragile, which can be avoided through proper bedding. Special ‘low-dust’ and ‘green’ pads also have compounds which reduce friction material abrasion, leading to less rust on wheels and undercarriage corrosion.

Bedding new pads is essential to break them in, and in turn deposit a transferring friction layer on rotors which provides more stable action and better brake feel.
