Features of Hydrophobic PTFE Syringe Filters

• Polytetrafluorethylene (PTFE, Teflon) membrane, hydrophobic
• Very high flow rate
• High chemical resistance to most solvents and acids, with chemical compatibility of pH 1-14
• Low dead volume
• Sterilization by autoclaving at 121ºC or by ethylene oxide
• Free from wetting agents
• They must be pre-wetted with a polar solvent such as ethanol or isopropanol before filtering aqueous samples.
