0.45μm 47mm PES Filter Membrane Discs Non-Sterile For
Microbiological Analysis
An air stop filter membrane is a highly hydrophilic PES disc
membrane used in infusion therapy. It is typically placed at the
bottom of a drip chamber. The instant wetting ability of an air
stop filter membrane activates the membrane as an intusion flux
filter once it contacts fluids. This means that when the membrane
comes into contact with a fluid, it immediately starts to work as a
filter, preventing fine particles or air from entering the
patient's bloodstream. Pore size of our air stop filter membrane ranges from 0.1um to 5um, which effectively retains particles
larger than related pore size and prevent the entry of air into the
patient's bloodstream, most importantly, when the drip container
runs out of drug solutions, the surface tension of liquid within
the porous structure of wet membrane automatically stops the flow,
and forms a fluid protection surface to protect the downstream
infusion line from air entry. This ensures that the infusion
therapy is safe and effective and helps to reduce the risk of
complications such as air embolism, which can be life-threatening.
Air stop filter membranes are commonly used in hospitals and other
healthcare applications.
The auto air stop filter membranes offered by XINNA are
non-sterile, but they can be autoclaved and gamma sterilized to
meet specific requirements. As a manufacturer of membrane filters,
we can customize the pore size and diameters to suit your needs and
provide tailor-made samples for approval in a very short period of
time.
