What is aluminium-zinc plated sheet
Aluminium-zinc plated sheet is a steel plate plating on the basis of zinc with the addition of aluminium (passivation protection), the general composition of 55% aluminium, 43.5% zinc, 1.5% silicon, with excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion, corrosion resistance of galvanized sheet 2-5 times, but also has the high temperature corrosion resistance of aluminium plate, smooth surface, good appearance, but the formation of its plating and resistance to welding a little worse. In foreign countries generally about 40% of aluminium zinc plating used directly, about 60% of the plate is further as a colour coated substrate.
Main advantages
1, smooth surface, excellent resistance to atmospheric corrosion,
its corrosion resistance life is 2-6 times higher than hot-dip
galvanised steel;
2, with good heat and oxidation resistance, it does not change
colour for a long time under 300℃, and it can be used for a long

is higher than 75%, which is 2 times higher than that of galvanised
sheet;
3, has excellent paintability and good processing performance. The

weldability are similar to that of hot galvanised sheet, and it can
be processed by cold bending and stamping, and has a good
appearance.

Storage: The product should be stored in a ventilated and dry place such as indoor, warehouse, etc. It should not be placed in an acidic environment for a long time. Outdoor storage should avoid rain to avoid condensation causing oxidation and discolouration.
Transportation: Avoid external impacts, the means of transport must support the steel coils, reduce stacking, and take effective measures against rain.
Processing: Use the same lubricant for cutting as for aluminium sheets. When drilling or cutting aluminium galvanised steel sheets, loose iron filings should be removed promptly.

Difference between GI and GL
The difference between galvanised steel and aluminium-zinc steel
mainly lies in the different coating, the surface of galvanised
sheet is evenly distributed with a layer of zinc material, the
parent material plays the role of anodic protection, that is to
say, the alternative corrosion of the zinc material protects the
use of the parent material, and only when the zinc is all corroded
to harm the parent material inside.
Corrosion resistance: The corrosion resistance of "aluminized zinc
steel coil" is mainly due to aluminum, aluminum's protective
function. When the zinc wears down, the aluminum forms a dense
layer of aluminum oxide, preventing the resistance from further
corroding the interior.
Heat resistance: Aluminum zinc alloy steel coil has good heat
resistance, can withstand the high temperature of 300 degrees
Celsius, and aluminum plated steel plate high temperature oxidation
resistance is very similar, often used in chimney tubes, ovens,
illuminators and daylight lampshades.
Thermal reflectivity: Aluminized zinc steel coil has a high thermal
reflectivity, twice that of galvanized steel, and is often used as
insulation material.
Economy: Because the density of 55%AL-Zn is less than that of Zn,
the area of the aluminum-zinc coil is more than 3% larger than that
of the steel coil, given the same weight and the same thickness of
the gold coating.
