When guarantees are offered, they must be issued in the terms and
manner established in the Federal Consumer Protection Law and
indicate and comply with the following:
a) Name, denomination or company name and fiscal address of the
national producer or importer of the product and service telephones
in the national territory.
b) Identification of the products and / or models to which it
applies.
c) Name and address of the establishment in the Mexican Republic
where the guarantee can be made effective under the terms of the
same, as well as those where the consumer can acquire parts and
spare parts. Additionally, the guarantee may indicate that this can
be made effective in any of the branches at the national level of
the provider that offers it, without the need to specify the
addresses of the same.
d) Duration of the guarantee.
e) Concepts covered by the guarantee and limitations or exceptions.
f) Procedure to make the guarantee effective.
g) Specify the date on which the consumer received the product or
indicate the reference documents where it is indicated. It is the
responsibility of the merchant to ensure that this information is
present at the time of the sale of the product to the consumer,
otherwise the merchant must comply with the terms of the guarantee
directly.
h) In order to make the guarantee effective, other requirements may
not be required other than the presentation of the product, the
current guarantee and proof of sale.
Note: The validity of the guarantee policy begins as of the date of
acquisition of the product, which must be established in the
guarantee policy or in the corresponding sales receipt.
In all cases, the instructions or operating manuals and guarantees
must be delivered to the consumer in the commercial establishment
when purchasing the products.
Product Scope:
All products sold in Mexican territory, includes national manufacturing and also imported.
