Introduction to E-MARK Certification E-Mark is the European Common
Market. For automobiles, motorcycles and their safety spare parts,
noise and exhaust gas, etc., they must be in accordance with the
provisions of EU laws and Economic Commission for Europe
regulations. If the products meet the certification requirements,
it will be awarded Certificate of conformity to ensure driving
safety and environmental protection requirements. E-Mark is
assigned different numbers depending on the certification country.
For example, if Luxembourg applies, its E-Mark mark is E13/e13.

It is a certification mark for complete motor vehicles, safety parts and systems that the European Commission compels member states to use in accordance with EU directives. The testing agency must be a technical service agency within an EU member state, and the certification agency is the government transportation department of an EU member state. Products that obtain e-mark certification will be recognized by all EU member states. Like the E mark certification, the certificates of each member country have corresponding numbers:

Applicable product range
1. Complete vehicle - that is, an electric motor vehicle with two
or three wheels or more, such as passenger cars, trucks,
motorcycles, buses and off-road vehicles.
2. Automobile and motorcycle spare parts and components—car lights
and bulbs, various mirrors, tires, rims, brakes, horns, anti-theft
equipment, seat belts,
Automobile glass and exhaust pipes, etc.
3. Accessory accessories for automobiles and motorcycles—safety
helmets, child safety chairs, accessory electrical products in the
car, etc.
application process
1. The manufacturer prepares technical data and samples;
2. Conduct testing;
3. Factory inspection is required for first-time application;
(manufacturers that have obtained ISO9000 and other quality system
certificates issued by EU national certification agencies do not
need to undergo factory inspection in principle);
4. Submit test reports and manufacturer’s technical data for
review;
5. The transportation departments of European countries issue
certificates (certification agencies may conduct regular or
irregular follow-up factory inspections of certified product
manufacturers).
