Functions
Masking and protection: When performing construction tasks such as stucco application and
exterior wall painting, it can be used to mask doors, windows,
frames, glass, and other parts where stucco or paint is not
required, preventing them from being contaminated or damaged.
Waterproof sealing: It can be used to seal joints, gaps, and small cracks in exterior
walls, forming a waterproof barrier to prevent rainwater, moisture,
and other substances from penetrating into the building interior,
thereby protecting the building structure from water erosion.
Temporary repair: For some small damages or cracks, before the formal repair,
Stucco Tape can be used for temporary fixation and repair, playing
a certain protective role to prevent the problem from worsening.
Materials
Substrate: Usually, plastic films such as polyethylene (PE) are used as the
substrate. This material has good flexibility, water resistance,
and weather resistance, which can adapt to different construction
environments and surface shapes. At the same time, it can resist
ultraviolet radiation to a certain extent and is not easy to age.
Adhesive: Generally, rubber - based or acrylic - based pressure - sensitive
adhesives are used. These adhesives have good viscosity and can
form a firm bond on rough surfaces such as stucco, concrete, and
masonry. At the same time, when the tape needs to be removed, it
can better maintain the characteristic of no residue, without
polluting or damaging the adhered surface.
