3 . Solving Common Vibratory Feeder Problems:


Problem 1: Intermittent Operation


The feeder is unable to run continuously for long periods of time.
It cannot perform at certain amplitude levels.
Sometimes, the feeder increases its amplitude without any apparent reason.


Solution 1:

The most likely cause of this problem is a failing SCR controller.
It is advisable to have a spare controller on hand to address this issue.


Problem 2: Decrease in Feed Rate

Cracked springs, loose feet, rusting, a broken weld seam, or the absence of a bowl cover can result in a declining feed rate.

Cracked springs are often not visible to the naked eye. To check for cracks, remove the spring and throw it forcefully onto a concrete floor. If it breaks, it indicates a crack.


Tighten the rubber feet of the feeder and inspect them for cuts or excessive hardness. If any of these issues are present, consider replacing the feet.


Examine rusted components. If salvageable, disassemble, remove the rust, clean the parts, and reassemble the drive unit. Apply rust-protecting lubricants to prevent future rusting.


A broken weld seam may occur when the armature hits the coil. If possible, re-weld the seam; otherwise, replacing the coil is recommended.
