It achieves this through its main spool insert and a pilot control valve that includes a pressure adjustment element. Constructed to be normally open, the DR20-5-5X/50Y allows hydraulic fluid to move freely from channel B to channel A when in a rest position. The system's equilibrium is maintained by the balance between the pressure applied at channel A against the spring-set pressure at the pilot control valve. Upon reaching the set spring pressure, the ball opens, causing the control spool to shift towards closing, thereby achieving the desired reduced pressure.
