Product Description:
Directional valves are mainly used to control the flow direction of fluid in hydraulic systems to meet the requirements of starting, stopping and moving direction of actuators. Directional valves can be divided into two categories: one-way valves and reversing valves.
One-way valves
The one-way valve, also known as a check valve, is characterized by
allowing fluid to flow in only one direction and being cut off in
the reverse direction. According to the structure of the valve
core, one-way valves can be divided into ball valve type and cone
valve type. The ball valve type has a simple structure but poor
sealing performance and is suitable for low-pressure occasions; the
cone valve type has good sealing performance and is widely used.
The main function of the spring in the one-way valve is to help the
valve close quickly when there is no oil flow, but at the same time
it will increase the resistance when opening and cause pressure
loss. In some occasions, when the one-way valve is required to
allow the oil flow to pass in the reverse direction, a
hydraulically controlled one-way valve can be used, which relies on
controlling the fluid pressure to make the one-way valve flow in
the reverse direction.
Reversing valves
The function of the reversing valve is to connect or close the oil
circuit or change the flow direction of the oil to the actuator
through the relative movement of the valve core and the valve body
to achieve the start, stop or change the movement direction of the
actuator. Directional valves are divided into slide valve type and
rotary valve type according to their structure; they are divided
into two-position, three-position and multi-position according to
the number of working positions of the valve core; they are divided
into two-way, three-way, four-way and five-way according to the
number of inlet and outlet channels; they are divided into manual,
motorized, electric, hydraulic and electro-hydraulic according to
the operation and control methods; they are divided into pipe type,
plate type and flange type according to the installation method.
Application scenarios
Directional valves are widely used in various hydraulic systems,
especially in situations where it is necessary to control the
unidirectional flow of fluid or to frequently change the flow
direction of fluid. For example, in engineering machinery,
directional valves are used to control the extension and
contraction of hydraulic cylinders and the power assistance of
steering mechanisms. In addition, directional valves are also
commonly used in hydraulic support equipment, such as hydraulic
support equipment for coal mine machinery, to achieve functions
such as locking and supporting hydraulic cylinders by controlling
fluid pressure.
