Shaftless Drum Screen Mines Stone Barite Sand Screening Machine
Introduction:
The shaftless drum screen is an efficient screening device that
screens materials based on the rotation of the drum. It is named
because it abandons the central axis structure of the traditional
drum screen. Its core working principle is to use the rotation of
the shaftless drum to drive the material to move forward in the
drum in a spiral, and at the same time, the grading of materials of
different particle sizes is achieved through the screen surface set
on the inner wall of the drum. Specifically, the material enters
from one end of the drum. Under the centrifugal force and friction
generated by the rotation of the drum, the fine particles fall into
the collection device below through the sieve holes, while the
larger particles move along the inner wall of the drum to the
discharge end, and finally achieve the separation of coarse and
fine materials.
Advantages:
1. The shaftless design breaks through the structural limitations
of the traditional shafted drum screen. The traditional shafted
drum screen relies on the central axis to support the drum and
transmit power, which is prone to problems such as shaft wear and
material entanglement. Especially when processing fibrous and
sticky materials, the central axis is easily blocked, affecting the
screening efficiency. The shaftless drum screen uses rollers or
gears on the outside of the drum to make the drum itself an
independent rotating unit without any transmission parts inside,
which fundamentally solves the problem of material entanglement and
blockage, and significantly improves the adaptability of the
equipment to complex materials.
2. The shaftless drum screen adopts an external drive mode, and the
common ones are gear drive and roller drive. The gear drive meshes
with the output gear of the reducer through the large gear
installed on the outside of the drum, and the torque transmission
is stable, which is suitable for large-diameter and heavy-load
drums; the roller drive supports the drum through several groups of
rollers, and the rollers are driven by the motor to rotate, relying
on friction to drive the drum to rotate. It has a simple structure
and is easy to maintain, and is mostly used in small and
medium-sized equipment.
