Classification of QR codes
In the code compilation clever use of the internal logic of the
computer constitutes the basis of the concept of ‘0’, ‘1’ bit
stream, the use of a number of binary corresponding to the
geometric form to represent the text numerical information, through
the image input equipment or photoelectric scanning equipment
automatically Read by the image input equipment or photoelectric
scanning equipment to achieve automatic processing of information.
In many kinds of two-dimensional bar code, commonly used code
system: Data Matrix, Maxi Code, Aztec, QR Code, Vericode, PDF417,
Ultra code, Code49, Code 16K, etc., QR Code code was invented in
1994 by the Japanese company DW. QR code comes from the
abbreviation of "Quick Response" in English, which means quick
response. It originated from the inventor's hope that QR codes can
quickly decode their content.QR code is most commonly used in
Japan, South Korea; and for the most popular two-dimensional space
bar code in Japan. However, the security of QR codes is also being
challenged, with malware and viruses becoming a stumbling block on
the road to QR code popularity. Developing and preventing the
misuse of QR codes is becoming an urgent issue. Each code system
has its own specific character set; each character occupies a
certain width; has a certain check function, etc.. At the same
time, it also has the function of automatic identification of
information on different lines and the handling of graphic rotation
changes and other characteristics.
QR codes are a more advanced bar code format than 1D codes. A 1D
code can only express information in one direction (usually
horizontal), whereas a 2D code can store information both
horizontally and vertically. One-dimensional codes can only consist
of numbers and letters, whereas 2D codes can store information such
as Chinese characters, numbers and pictures, making 2D codes much
more versatile.
2D bar codes/QR codes can be divided into stacked/rowed 2D bar
codes and matrix 2D bar codes. Stacked / rows of two-dimensional
bar code form is a one-dimensional bar code stacked by a number of
rows of truncated; matrix two-dimensional bar code in the form of a
matrix composition, in the matrix of the corresponding element
position with the ‘point’ that the binary ‘1’, with the ‘Empty’
means binary “0”, “point” and “empty” arrangement of the code. The
principle of QR code can be told from the principle of matrix QR
code and the principle of determinant QR code.
Stacking/Row arrangement
Stacked/row arranged two-dimensional bar codes, also known as
stacked two-dimensional bar codes or layer arranged two-dimensional
bar codes, are encoded based on one-dimensional bar codes and
stacked into two or more rows as needed. It inherits some
characteristics of one-dimensional bar codes in coding design,
verification principles, and recognition methods, and the
recognition equipment is compatible with bar code printing and
one-dimensional bar code technology. However, due to the increase
in the number of rows, it is necessary to determine the rows, and
its decoding algorithm and software are not completely the same as
one-dimensional bar codes. Representative row arranged
two-dimensional bar codes include Code 16K, Code 49, PDF417,
MicroPDF417, etc.
Matrix QR code
Matrix two-dimensional bar code (also known as checkerboard
two-dimensional bar code) is encoded in a rectangular space through
the different distributions of black and white pixels in the
matrix. At the positions of the corresponding elements in the
matrix, the appearance of points (squares, circles, or other
shapes) represents binary "1", and the absence of points represents
binary "0". The arrangement and combination of points determine the
meaning represented by the matrix two-dimensional bar code. Matrix
two-dimensional bar code is a new type of graphic symbol automatic
recognition and processing code system based on computer image
processing technology, combination coding principles, and other
foundations. Representative matrix two-dimensional bar codes
include Code One, Maxi Code, QR Code, Data Matrix, Han Xin Code,
Grid Matrix, etc.
The commonly used code systems include PDF417 QR code, Data matrix
QR code, QR code, Code 49, Code 16K, Code one, etc. In addition to
these common QR codes, there are also Vericode barcode, Maxi code
bar code, CP bar code, Coda block F bar code, Tianzi code, Ultra
code bar code, and Aztec bar code.
