The CAFS1000A series MEMS air flow sensor (i.e. air flow meter) is
applied in modern electronic fuel injection systems (EFI) of
automobiles. It is generally installed on the intake duct between
the air filter and throttle body to measure the amount of air
sucked into the engine. Its output signal serves as the main
parameter for controlling fuel injection in the fuel injection
system of automotive engines, determining the engine's power,
economy, and emission performance indicators. In order for an
electronic fuel injection engine to obtain a mixture of fuel
concentration under various operating conditions, it is necessary
to accurately measure the amount of air sucked into the engine at
each moment, as the main basis for the electronic control unit to
calculate and control the fuel injection amount. Therefore,
automotive air flow sensors play an extremely important role in
saving energy consumption and controlling pollutant emissions in
modern cars.
