ASTM A216-WCB Thermodynamic Type Steam Trap For Steam Pipeline Use
Product introduction:
Thermodynamic steam trap is currently the most commonly used type of drain valve in thermal system devices. It has the advantages of small size, light weight, large drainage capacity, and easy installation and maintenance.
The thermodynamic steam trap valve is mainly composed of valve
body, valve cover, valve disc, air isolation (insulation) cover,
filter screen, and filter holder. The only operating component of a
thermodynamic steam trap is the valve plate. The operating
principle is based on Bernoulli's law and the physical
characteristics of steam and condensed water. By discharging
drilling water, the dynamic and static pressures acting on the
valve plate are changed to open and close the valve plate.

1. Advantages:

removing it from the pipeline.

2. Disadvantages:
- Large steam waste: The working power comes from steam, and there
is a certain amount of steam waste.
- Loud noise: It produces noise during work and is not suitable for
places with high quiet requirements, but a muffler can be installed
to reduce noise.
- Relatively short service life: The valve disc works frequently
and has a short service life.
- The working pressure range is limited: it cannot work under low
pressure difference, the inlet pressure is generally not less than
0.25 bar g, and the back pressure cannot exceed 80% of the inlet
pressure.
- During the start-up phase, there may be limitations: if the inlet
pressure increases rapidly and the air flow rate is too fast, air
resistance may form. It is necessary to install a thermal static
exhaust valve in parallel or choose a drain valve with a built-in
anti air resistance disc.
In summary, thermal power drain valves have the advantages of simple structure, easy maintenance, and wide applicability. However, they also have disadvantages such as steam waste and high noise. When choosing to use them, it is necessary to consider the specific working conditions and needs comprehensively.
