product description
Jet Suction Dredger is a highly efficient and low-cost dredging equipment, especially suitable for dredging soft silt, and
has unique advantages in environmental protection projects and shallow water areas. However, for hard bottom or deep
water operations, it is still necessary to rely on Cutter Suction Dredger (CSD) or other heavy dredging equipment.

Main Components
Hull: Provides buoyancy and a stable working platform. Most are flat-bottomed barges with a shallow draft, making them suitable for shallow-water operations.
Power System: Typically a diesel engine, it powers the entire vessel.
High-Pressure Water Pump: A core piece of equipment, generating high-pressure water.
Water Supply Pipe & Water Jet: Directs high-pressure water to the sand suction head. The jet nozzles are typically located around the sand suction port and aimed at the sand layer.
Sand Suction Head: A submerged component containing water jets, with openings aimed at the sand layer.
Sand Suction Pipe: The pipe connecting the sand suction head to the sand pump.
Sand Pump (Mud Pump): Another core piece of equipment, it generates strong suction, drawing in the sand-water mixture and discharging it through the sand delivery pipe.
Sand Delivery Pipe (Sand Discharge Pipe): Transports the sand-water mixture to a designated location (such as another barge, shore, or landfill).
Anchoring System: Typically equipped with four anchors (two at the bow and two at the stern), the vessel's movement within the operating area is precisely controlled by retracting and releasing the anchor lines.
Boom: Used to raise and lower the sand suction head.
Control Cab: From here, the operator controls all equipment.
Workflow
1. Positioning: The vessel navigates to the target sand area and anchors to secure its position.
2. Preparation: Start the main engine and lower the sand suction head to the riverbed.
3. Spraying: Start the high-pressure water pump. High-pressure water is ejected from the nozzle, violently impacting the sand layer, instantly loosening and liquefying it.
4. Suction: Simultaneously, the sand pump is activated. The liquefied sand-water mixture is continuously drawn into the sand suction head due to the pressure differential and discharged through the sand pump and sand pipe.
5. Displacement: By retracting and extending the anchor cable, the sand suction head moves rhythmically across the riverbed, clearing an area like plowing a field.
6. Delivery: The sand-water mixture is delivered to the designated location via the floating sand pipe. After the sand settles, the clear water flows away.
Applications
River dredging: remove silt from rivers and canals to restore
navigation capacity.
Lake management: clean up eutrophic sediments and improve water quality (such as urban landscape lakes).
Port maintenance: dredge loose sediments in harbors and anchorages.
Environmental protection engineering: low-disturbance dredging to reduce the impact on aquatic ecology.
Mining assistance: extract sand ores (such as gold sand and tin sand) from the seabed or riverbed.
