1. Project Overview:
1.1 Equipment model: BGYL-2000KVA white corundum electric arc
furnace system equipment;
1.2 Equipment Usage: Mainly used for smelting abrasives and
refractory materials such as white corundum, fused alumina,
mullite, etc;

with a water-cooled furnace cover, skirt, top feeding, and external

2. System features
2.1 Structural forms of furnace top feeding, water-cooled furnace
cover, and external spray water cooling on the furnace wall;
2.2 Each phase adopts an energy-saving short net composed of soft
copper stranded wire, through wall copper bars, copper bars
structural steel crossbars (trolley lifting type), etc;
2.3 Advanced and reliable variable frequency motor type electrode
lifting automatic regulator: capable of automatic and manual
operation.
2.4 The furnace shell is made of 20g boiler steel, 20mm thick,
without reinforcement, and the furnace car adopts a circular
structure; The bottom steel plate and skirt of the furnace car are
made of 20mm thick steel plate;
2.5 The electrode clamp adopts a belt clamping method, which is
reliable and has a long service life;
2.6 The electrode clamping adopts pneumatic driving method;
2.7 The primary voltage of the transformer is 35KV, and the
secondary voltage is 200-130V in seven levels. On load voltage
regulation, top line method;
2.8 The inlet of the cooling water system is equipped with pressure
and water temperature monitoring, as well as sound and light
alarms.
2.9 The parameters of the electric furnace are monitored and
managed through a touch screen.
2.10 The material conveying adopts an ultra dense phase pneumatic
conveying system.
3. System structure description and working principle
The white corundum furnace is a fixed straight tube water-cooled
furnace with a fixed furnace cover, skirt, top loading, and furnace
body platform. The external spray water cooling structure of the
furnace wall is composed of the following mechanical parts:

Working principle
This device is based on electrical energy and utilizes the enormous
heat released by the arc formed between the electrode and the
furnace charge to achieve smelting. When current is introduced into
the furnace through the electrode, an arc discharge phenomenon is
triggered between the electrode end and the furnace charge. At this
moment, the temperature in the arc area instantly soared to over
3000 ℃, and the powerful thermal energy quickly melted the furnace
charge mainly made of industrial alumina powder. Under high
temperature conditions, the furnace charge undergoes a series of
complex physical and chemical changes, ultimately cooling and
solidifying to form high-quality white corundum. During the
smelting process, electrical energy is efficiently converted into
thermal energy, providing the necessary high-temperature conditions
for the formation of white corundum. Precise temperature control
and stable arc environment ensure the consistency of the quality of
white corundum products.
Technical Parameter:
Power specifications: Generally suitable for high-power power
supply, such as HY2.8-4000KVA white corundum electric arc furnace
equipment, AC 10kV power supply system, voltage range of 10kV ±
10%, 3 phases, frequency of 50 ± 0.5Hz; The voltage of the
low-voltage distribution system is 380V/220V+10% -15%, with a
frequency of 50 ± 0.5Hz. The powerful and stable power input meets
the energy requirements for generating high temperatures in
electric arc furnaces.
Electrode parameters: High quality graphite electrodes are usually
selected, which have good conductivity and high temperature
resistance. The diameter, length, and other dimensions of the
electrode are determined according to the specific specifications
and production process requirements of the electric arc furnace.
For example, the common electrode diameter is 250mm, which can work
stably in high temperature and high current environments, ensuring
the continuous generation of the arc and the stable supply of heat
inside the furnace.
Temperature control: This device can achieve extremely precise
temperature control, quickly raising and maintaining the
temperature inside the furnace above 2000 ℃, meeting the strict
requirements for high temperature in white corundum smelting.
Through advanced temperature monitoring and control systems,
real-time adjustment of electrode current, voltage and other
parameters ensures uniform and stable temperature inside the
furnace, providing reliable guarantee for high-quality smelting of
white corundum.
Output indicator: Taking HY2.8-4000KVA equipment as an example, the
daily output of a single set of equipment can reach 25 tons. If
calculated based on a continuous working system with 330 working
days per year, the annual output is 8250 tons. To achieve an annual
output of 30000 tons, four sets of such equipment are required. The
output of electric arc furnace system equipment of different
specifications varies, and reasonable selection can be made
according to the production scale of the enterprise and market
demand.
2.11 The dust removal system adopts a two-stage dust removal system
of cyclone bag filter.
