1.Overview of the Silicon manganese Alloy Submerged Arc Furnace
Silicon manganese Submerged Arc Furnace is mainly used to proceed
the submerged arc smelting by mixing up qualified manganese
ore,silica, rich-manganous slags ,carbonaceous reducing
agent,dolomite ,CaO and other material with specific proportion,
filling into the Silicon manganese Submerged Arc Furnace, inputting
high voltage through transformer,high current supply system and
electrode holder and submerging the electrode into material. After
a period of smelting, tapping the molten iron into high and low
ladle, outflowing from low iron ladle, water quenching and cooling
into slag pool, grabbing and carting out, moulding by casting,
smashing, finishing, and then, quantitative packaging into storage.
Technology Feature: applying self-baking electrode,carbonaceous
brick and high alumina refractory brick as furnace
lining,continuous charging,intermittent tapping,continuous
processing.
2.Composition of the Silicon manganese Alloy Submerged Arc Furnace
The mechanical part of the Silicon manganese Alloy Submerged Arc
Furnace mainly consists of furnace shell, semi-sealed or sealed low
hood, electrode holder(combined holder or pressure ring
holder),high current supply system, smoke extraction system,
charging system, feed system, hydraulic system, pneumatic system,
water cooling system, etc. Auxiliary equipment consists of batching
station, charging system, tapping system, slag-out system, casting
equipment, finishing system, etc. Exhaust gas purification recovery
device adopts big bag cyclone de-dusting device. Electrical part
consists of high voltage system (switching station), low voltage
system, large screen monitor system and automatic control system.
3. Usage of Silicon Manganese Products
Silicon Manganese Alloy:Silicon manganese alloy is an alloy
composed of silicon, manganese, iron and a small amount of carbon
and other elements. It is a kind of iron alloy with wide use and
large yield. Its consumption accounts for the second place in
electric furnace ferroalloy products. Manganese and silicon in
manganese silicon alloy and oxygen affinity is strong, in the use
of manganese silicon alloy in steelmaking, the resulting
deoxidation products MnSiO3 and MnSiO4 melting point of 12700C and
13270C respectively, with low melting point, large particles, easy
to float, good deoxidation effect and other advantages. Under the
same conditions, using manganese or silicon deoxidation alone, the
burn loss rate is 46% and 37%, respectively, while using manganese
silicon alloy deoxidation, the burn loss rate of both is 29%.
Therefore, it has been widely used in steelmaking, and its output
growth rate is higher than the average growth rate of ferroalloy,
higher than the growth rate of steel, becoming an indispensable
composite deoxidizer and alloy addition agent in the steel
industry. Manganese silicon alloy with carbon content below 1.9% is
still used for the production of medium and low carbon
ferromanganese and electrosilicothermal metal manganese
semi-finished products.
