A truck relay valve with an M22x1.5 port thread is a device that's part of a truck's air brake system and is used to remotely control the brakes
A relay valve transfers air from the tanks to the brake chambers,
and quickly releases the air when the brakes are released. This
speeds up the application and release of the brakes.
Relay valves are typically mounted at the rear of the vehicle,
close to the chambers they serve.
There are different types of relay valves, including double relay
valves and relay emergency valves:
Double relay valves: Used in systems with spring brake cylinders to prevent the service
brake and the parking brake from being used at the same time.
Relay emergency valves (REVs): Control the trailer service brake in line with the truck's braking
demands. REVs also provide an emergency brake function and automatic braking
if the supply line is disconnected.
