Spiral Conveyor Function
In the process of cement production and processing, screw conveyors play a vital role, and their functions are mainly reflected in the following aspects:
Raw material transportation: transport various powdered or fine
granular raw materials required for cement production, such as
limestone powder, clay powder, iron powder, etc., from storage
silos and feeding equipment to grinding equipment (such as ball
mills, vertical mills) or other process links.
Clinker transportation: transport cement clinker from clinker
storage, coolers and other equipment to cement mills or clinker
transportation systems. Since clinker usually has a certain
temperature and abrasiveness, there are certain requirements for
the wear resistance and sealing of screw conveyors.
Cement transportation: This is one of the most important
applications of screw conveyors in the cement industry. It is used
to transport cement powder from cement mills, powder selectors,
packaging machines and other equipment to cement storage, bulk
cement loading systems or cement packaging links.
Batching and metering: In the process of cement production, various
raw materials need to be mixed in a certain proportion. Screw
feeders (a special type of screw conveyor) can accurately measure
and transport materials of different components to achieve
automatic control of batching.
Bulk cement loading and unloading: Specially designed bulk cement
loading screw conveyors or ship unloading screw conveyors can
quickly and efficiently load cement into tank trucks or unload it
from ship holds. Such equipment usually has a large conveying
capacity and flexible mobility.
Dust removal ash transportation: A large amount of dust is
generated during the cement production process. Screw conveyors are
also often used to transport dust collected by dust removal
equipment, recycling it into the production process or for
centralized treatment.
Spiral Conveyor Application
Screw conveyors are widely used in all aspects of cement production due to their simple structure, good sealing and stable conveying:
Raw material preparation: used to convey raw materials such as limestone, clay, coal powder into the raw material mill.
Clinker burning: Although the transportation of high-temperature clinker relies more on other types of conveying equipment, high-temperature resistant screw conveyors are also used in some links, such as clinker transportation after the cooler.
Cement grinding: Convey cement clinker and gypsum and other mixed materials to the cement mill, and convey the ground cement powder to the powder selector or cement silo.
Cement storage and transportation: At the bottom of the cement silo, screw conveyors are often installed to transport cement to the packaging workshop or bulk cement loading point.
Cement packaging: used to transport cement from the packaging machine to the finished product warehouse or loading platform.
Bulk cement transportation: In the bulk cement loading system and unloading system, the screw conveyor is the core conveying equipment.
Environmental treatment: used to transport dust, kiln ash and other waste collected by the dust collector.
