Cable fault pre-location: with the reflectometer XHGG502 based on
the low-voltage impulse reflection method(TDR), and high-voltage
decay(flashover) method (DECAY), arc reflection method(single-shot/ multi-shot).
There are three test mode of XHGG502, low voltage pulse, high
voltage flashover, ARC multi-shot.
The below picture shows cable fault distance measured by using ARC
multi-shot test mode of XHGG502.
The reflected signal sent by the pulse coupler is automatically
displayed, and the full-length waveform of the open circuit of the
cable is displayed at the same time. This makes the representation
of the fault characteristic waveform extremely simple. There is
only one type of high-resistance fault waveform, that is, the
short-circuit fault waveform similar to the low-voltage pulse
method.
The fault distance is automatically displayed and there is no test
blind zone.
With the function of storing massive test waveforms: The waveforms
tested on site can be conveniently stored in the instrument in a
prescribed order for recall and observation at any time.
The measured fault point waveform and the good-phase full-length
open-circuit waveform can be displayed on the screen at the same
time for comparison on the same screen and superimposed comparison.
Makes the judgment of the fault distance more accurate.
Built-in polymer lithium battery power supply: it can work
continuously for more than 4 hours after being fully charged. Fully
meet the requirements of on-site testing. It can also work with an
external AC power supply.
