M Type MoSi2 Heating Element
M-type molybdenum disilicide heating elements are made of molybdenum disilicide and possess both metallic and ceramic characteristics.
In a high-temperature oxidizing atmosphere, a dense SiO₂ glass film forms rapidly on the surface of the element, endowing it with strong oxidation resistance. Its resistance increases rapidly with the rise in temperature, and remains constant when the temperature is stable. New and old elements can be used in combination.
This element is widely applied in fields such as metallurgical steelmaking, glass and ceramic manufacturing, electronic component production, and crystal growth, providing a reliable heat source for high-temperature processes. It is suitable for air and neutral atmospheres, and the surface load should be reasonably selected according to the working conditions of the equipment.
