Manhole has been formed products, diameter is usually 600mm. The center of the manhole is 750mm away from the floor. It is convenient for the staff to enter and exit the oil tank or ventilate during installation, cleaning and maintenance.
A manhole should be located near the right side of the inlet and outlet oil pipe, and as far as possible, the manhole is directly opposite the tank room closed door for personnel to enter and exit, maintenance of the oil tank and ventilation nozzle.
Since the manhole is installed on the lowest body ring of the oil tank, leakage prevention is particularly important. It is required that the joint surface of the two flanges must ensure its flatness without flapping and twisting. The reinforcing plate and flange should be cut on the whole steel plate as far as possible without splicing. The flange and cover plate are processed with sealing rings, and special attention should be paid to protection during construction. Seal with 3mm thick asbestos rubber gasket, not allowed to break. When installing the tight bolts on the manhole cover, apply even diagonal force to prevent
deformation of the hole cover.
