Portable Multiple Hops Tactical MANET Radios Base Station

Introduction

TS1 handheld manet radio station is compact and it can be held in hand or placed on the shoulder, back or waist by a leather carrying case.

TS1 is equipped with a detachable lithium battery for 31hours battery life and if work with its power bank, the battery life can up to be 120hours. The TS1 uses wireless interconnect technology that provides narrowband self-grouping multi-hop links to achieve a wide area of mesh coverage with digital voice and high security.

How Does Mesh Radio Work?

●Multiple TS1 wireless communicate with each other creating a temporary and multi hop wireless communication network.

● Each TS1 works as base station, repeater and radio terminal transmitting and repeating voice/data from one device to another until it reaches the destination.

● Users press the Push-to-Talk button, then voice or data will be sent through the ad-hoc network using the most efficient available route.

● The mesh network is highly reliable because if one path is blocked or a device is out of range or offline, voice/data can be routed through an alternative path.

IWAVE communication system is designed based on LTE technology standards. The original standard LTE network requires the participation and control of base stations and core networks in addition to terminals. Now each node of our star topology network devices and MESH network devices is a terminal node. These nodes are lighter and retain many advantages of the original LTE technology. For example, it has the same architecture, physical layer and subframe as LTE. It also has LTE’s other advantages such as wide coverage, high spectrum utilization, high sensitivity, high bandwidth, low latency, and dynamic power control.

Compared with normal wireless link, such as wireless bridge or other devices based on wifi standard, the LTE technology has a subframe structure, the uplink and downlink data rate is not same. This characteristic enable the wireless link products' application more flexible. Because the uplink and downlink data rate can be adjusted based on real service requirements.

In addition to the self-developed product series, IWAVE also has the ability to integrate upstream and downstream product resources in the industry. For example, based on self-developed 4G/5G industry products, IWAVE integrates wireless terminal products and industry application platforms, thereby providing terminals - base stations - core networks - End-to-end customized products and industry solutions for industry application platforms.
