AEO-3 is derived from natural fatty alcohols and is highly soluble in oils and polar solvents. It forms a diffuse phase in water, providing excellent emulsifying properties, especially as a w/o (water-in-oil) emulsifier. It is a low-toxicity product with excellent biodegradability. AEO-3 also demonstrates superior emulsifying and foaming capabilities, making it a valuable nonionic surfactant.

Applications:

1. AES Production: Used in the production of AES via the SO₃ continuous sulfonation method.
2. Industrial Cleaning: Effective in industrial cleaning formulations, acting as a powerful emulsifier and detergent.
