The crane fuel sensor has the following important functions:
1. Monitoring fuel level
Real-time knowledge of the remaining fuel level: the fuel sensor
can detect the fuel level in the fuel tank of the crane in real
time and accurately transmit the relevant information to the
driver. This enables the driver to keep abreast of the remaining
fuel level of the crane so that he can plan in advance the time and
place for refuelling, avoiding the sudden stoppage of the crane in
the middle of the working process due to the exhaustion of fuel,
which affects the progress and efficiency of the construction. For
example, at large construction sites where cranes may need to
operate continuously, knowing the fuel level in time ensures
uninterrupted operation.
Ensuring work continuity: In remote areas or where refuelling
services are not available in a timely manner, accurate monitoring
of fuel levels is particularly important. If the driver cannot know
in advance that the fuel is about to run out, he may be forced to
stop working due to insufficient fuel during crane operation,
causing unnecessary waiting and delay. The existence of fuel
sensors can effectively avoid this situation and safeguard the

2. Optimising fuel management
Accurate calculation of fuel consumption: By continuously
monitoring the changes in fuel level, the fuel sensor can help
calculate the fuel consumption of the crane under different working
conditions. This is important for analysing the fuel economy of the
crane, evaluating the operational efficiency of the equipment and
carrying out costing. Based on these data, the operator can adjust
the crane's working mode or operating habits to reduce fuel
consumption and save operating costs.
Preventing fuel wastage: Fuel sensors can detect and sound an alarm
if there is a problem such as a leak in the fuel system. This helps
the operator to quickly take measures to repair the leakage point,
preventing further fuel wastage, and at the same time reduces the
environmental pollution and safety hazards that may be caused by
fuel leakage.
3. Ensuring safe operation of equipment
Prevent fuel system failure: The fuel sensor can detect
abnormalities in the fuel system, such as high or low fuel
pressure. When the fuel pressure is abnormal, it may be caused by
fuel pump failure, clogged fuel filters, etc. The fuel sensor can
feedback this information to the driver or control system in time,

failure.
