The XY-4 core drilling rig is the first generation vertical axis
diamond drilling rig in China. It has advanced design, reasonable
layout, compact structure, flexible operation, durability, good
disassembly, and is easy to relocate and repair.
The XY-4 drilling rig is a mechanical transmission hydraulic feed
core drilling rig that can drill 1000 meters of holes with a 42mm
drill rod. Mainly used for diamond and alloy drilling of solid
mineral deposits on the surface and in tunnels, it can be used for
engineering geological exploration and groundwater exploration,
shallow oil and gas exploration, dam injection, tunnel ventilation,
drainage drilling and other engineering hole drilling.
The XY-4 drilling rig is equipped with an automatic centering
hydraulic chuck, a planetary winch with strong lifting and pulling
capabilities, and a clutch that is easy to operate and reliable to
use
The XY-4 drilling rig has the following characteristics compared to
general hydraulic drilling rigs:
1. The drilling rig has a high speed and a reasonable speed range,
with multiple speed stages and high low-speed torque, suitable for
small-diameter diamond core drilling rigs, as well as meeting the
requirements of large-diameter hard alloy core drilling and various
engineering drilling.
2. The drilling rig is lightweight and has good disassembly. The
drilling rig can be disassembled into nine integral components,
with the largest component weighing only 218 kilograms. Easy to
relocate and suitable for working in mountainous areas.
3. The structure is simple and the layout is reasonable, with all
components exposed and not overlapping with each other, making it
easy to maintain, upkeep, and repair.
4. The drilling rig has two reverse speeds, which reduces labor
intensity and ensures safety when dealing with accidents.
5. The drilling rig moves smoothly and is firmly fixed. The
drilling rig frame is sturdy, with a low center of gravity, and has
good stability during high-speed drilling.
6. Equipped with sufficient instruments to grasp the situation
inside the hole, the control handle is relatively flexible, the
layout is reasonable, and the operation is flexible and reliable.
7. The drilling rig and mud pump are driven separately by a single
machine, making the airport layout more flexible and reducing the
airport area.

Safety regulations for drilling rigs
1. The drilling work site should be kept clean.
2. When installing and dismantling the drilling rig, it is
necessary to ensure correctness and completeness without any
defects.
3. When lifting the mast of the drilling rig, the operator should
stand in a safe position.
4. When starting the electric motor, all friction clutches of the
drilling rig should be opened.
5. When the drilling rig is working, it is strictly prohibited to
remove the protective cover.
6. Before starting work, the reliability of the braking device, as
well as the performance of the friction clutch and starting device,
should be checked.
7. Before the electric motor stops, it is prohibited to inspect the
drilling rig.
8. It is strictly prohibited to tighten any parts of the drilling
rig during operation.
9. When the drilling rig is in operation, refueling is strictly
prohibited. The upper pulley of the mast should be refueled when
the drilling rig is stopped.
10. It is not allowed to work on the mast before the electric motor
stops.
11. In any case, when someone is working on the upper section of
the mast, no other personnel are allowed to stay under the mast.
12. In case of severe weather (rainstorm, heavy snow, ice or wind
above level 5), [3] it is not allowed to work on the mast. At the
same time, it is not allowed to use artificial lighting to work on
the mast.
13. It is strictly prohibited to use steel wire ropes with cracked
strands.
14. When lifting and lowering drilling tools, it is strictly
prohibited to touch the steel wire rope with hands.
15. Except for lifting the drilling rig and drilling pipes, the
wellhead is strictly prohibited from being opened.
16. In order to prevent the swinging of drilling tools or
extraction tubes when they are taken out of the well, hooks made of
steel rods with a diameter of 15-20mm must be used to hook them.
17. When cleaning the suction tube, a sturdy and reliable steel
wire rope should be used to form a loop, wrapped around the lower
end of the suction tube, and flipped over.
18. When using pulleys to lift or lower casing, as well as during
salvage operations, all workers should leave the drilling site.
19. When using a crane to pull out the casing, in order to prevent
the casing from falling off, it must be fixed together.
20. When the lighting is stopped (at night), drilling work should
be stopped. When the drilling tool is still in the well, it should
be carefully removed from the well.
