Main functional characteristics

(1) Excellent chelating ability

Sodium hexametaphosphate has a strong chelating ability for divalent metal ions such as Ca²⁺, Mg²⁺, Fe²⁺, etc., which can soften hard water and prevent the formation of scale.

(2) Dispersion and suspension effects

It can effectively disperse solid particles and prevent agglomeration, and is widely used in industries such as ceramics, pigments, and detergents.

(3) pH buffering effect

Its aqueous solution is weakly alkaline and can be used to adjust the pH of the system and maintain stability.
