CODmn Permanganate Index Online Water Quality Analyzer
>>Overview
CODMn refers to the mass concentration of oxygen consumed by strong oxidizers under specific conditions to oxidize organic and inorganic reducing substances in water samples. It is a critical indicator of water pollution caused by organic and inorganic reducing agents.
This analyzer operates autonomously under long-term unattended continuous monitoring based on field configurations. It is widely applicable to surface water monitoring and similar scenarios. Depending on the complexity of on-site conditions, optional preprocessing systems can be integrated to ensure reliable testing processes, accurate results, and compliance with diverse operational demands.
>>Features
The CODMn method employs potassium permanganate oxidation spectrophotometry. The sample is heated in a water bath for 20 minutes, during
which potassium permanganate oxidizes organic pollutants. The
amount of potassium permanganate consumed during this process
serves as an indicator of pollutant levels.
