1.Description
BGD offers three different models of high-precision coating thickness
gauges tailored to specific application scenarios. These gauges
combine the Hall effect and eddy current principles for thickness
measurement, enabling the measurement of non-ferromagnetic coatings
on magnetic metal substrates (iron, cobalt, nickel, gadolinium) as
well as non-conductive coatings on non-magnetic metal substrates
(copper, aluminum, magnesium, zinc, chromium, etc.). They are
widely used in industries such as metal processing, coatings,
hardware components, shipbuilding, and aerospace.
Feature:
* Iron-aluminum dual-use, intelligent identification of the
measurement substrate, and rapid automatic conversion (BGD 545 &
BGD 546)
* Highly responsive, with measurements completed in 0.5 seconds
* Compact and portable design, ideal for on-site use
* Ruby probe tip with wear-resistant and corrosion-resistant
properties, ensuring a long service life and minimizing measurement
errors caused by wear
* Selectable units: μm/mil
* Advanced digital probe maintains stable zero position over extended
periods, ensuring consistent measurement results at the same
location
* Utilizes a unique algorithm to address linearity issues across the
entire measurement range, requiring only zero adjustment without
calibration to ensure measurement accuracy
* Excellent repeatability, ensuring compliance with national
metrology standards
* Three measurement modes available: Iron-based measurement (Fe),
Non-iron-based measurement (NFe), and Automatic identification
(Fe/NFe) (BGD 545 & BGD 546)
* Complies with standards: GB/T 4956-2003 Measurement of Non-Magnetic
Coating Thickness on Magnetic Substrates - Magnetic Method, GB/T
4957-2003 Measurement of Non-Conductive Coating Thickness on
Non-Magnetic Metal Substrates - Eddy Current Method, DIN EN ISO
2808 Determination of the thickness of coatings and varnishes,
JJG-818-2005 Calibration procedure for magnetic and eddy current
coating thickness measurement instruments. (BGD 545 & BGD 546)
* BGD 547 is specifically designed for testing ultra-thin coatings
(below 10 μm) and features an ultra-small probe-type measuring
head, making it particularly suitable for measuring coatings on
small components such as screws and bolts. The probe employs
digital oscillation technology and high-speed ADC data acquisition,
ensuring the instrument achieves ultra-high measurement accuracy
and repeatability. Additionally, the BGD 547 features data
statistics functionality, capable of storing up to 9 measurement
values and automatically calculating the maximum, minimum, average,
and variance of the measured data.
