quality of the porcelain. White, smooth, and highly transparent
porcelain gives a bright and clear impression, and is therefore
loved. Transparency not only shows the visual characteristics of
the porcelain's appearance, but also reflects its internal physical
and chemical properties. Transparency is closely related to the
mineral composition of the porcelain body, crystal shape, chemical
composition, particle size, the number of pores, and the degree of
firing. By using the transparency index, one can determine the
content of liquid phase (glass phase) inside the device, compare
the uniformity of different parts of the same device, and assist in
determining the firing temperature range of the product. Therefore,
the measurement of transparency is of great significance for
identifying the quality of porcelain and for scientific research in
the ceramic industry.
The 77C-1 type porcelain body light transmittance instrument

2.Structural principle
The 77C-1 transmittance meter is an all-in-one cabinet-type
instrument. It has a novel design, compact structure, and light
weight. It can directly take porcelain sample specimens for
testing, read the results directly, and is easy to operate. It
features high sensitivity and good stability.
The 77C-1 transmittance meter is composed of a stabilized power
supply, a photoelectric conversion mechanism and a digital
galvanometer.
