The PE double bleed ball valve is a type of valve primarily used in
buried polyethylene (PE) pipeline systems, featuring corrosion
resistance, excellent sealing performance, and other advantages.
Below is its detailed introduction:
- All-plastic Construction: It mainly consists of a valve body, valve ball, valve stem,
operating cap, and sealing ring. The valve body, connecting pipes,
and valve seats are typically made of polyethylene; the valve ball,
retainer ring, and operating cap are made of modified
polypropylene; the valve stem is made of nylon; and the seals are
made of nitrile rubber. As an all-plastic ball valve, it requires
no anti-corrosion treatment and is rust-proof.
- Double Bleed Design: Equipped with two bleed ports, it is used to discharge media
(such as gas) from the pipeline during maintenance or replacement
operations, ensuring operational safety.
- Operating Mechanism: It is usually designed with a structure for easy ground
operation. For example, the operating cap is marked with directions
for opening and closing. Opening and closing can be performed on
the ground using a wrench, which is easy to operate with low
torque.
The PE double bleed ball valve adopts a double-eccentric structural
design. When the valve ball rotates, the bleed groove on it comes
into contact with the valve seat, allowing fluid to enter or exit
the valve body through the bleed groove, thereby realizing the
transportation or shut-off of the medium. When bleed is required,
the corresponding bleed valve is opened, and the medium in the
pipeline can be discharged through the bleed port.
- Excellent Sealing Performance: It adopts a reasonable upper and lower support structure for the
valve core and high-quality sealing materials (e.g., multiple NBR
rubber O-rings between the valve core and valve body), ensuring no
internal or external leakage and high safety and reliability.
- Strong Corrosion Resistance: PE material has good corrosion resistance, enabling it to adapt
to various corrosive media such as acids, alkalis, and salts. It
also has excellent aging resistance and toughness, with a designed
service life of up to 50 years.
- Easy Construction: It can be connected to PE pipes and pipe fittings via
electrofusion or hot fusion. The connection performance is good,
construction is simple, installation is convenient, and maintenance
is relatively easy.
- Pressure and Temperature Adaptability: The nominal pressure is generally ≤0.5MPa, and the operating
temperature range is -20℃~+40℃. The operating pressure under
different temperatures is consistent with the requirements of PE
pipelines.
- Urban Gas: Widely used in gas output pipelines, main pipelines, and branch
supply pipelines. It is an ideal actuator for transporting and
shutting off media in buried PE gas pipelines.
- Centralized Heating: Can be used in output pipelines, main pipelines, and branch
pipelines of large-scale heating equipment, as well as for opening
and closing pipelines and loops of heat exchangers.
- Other Fields: Also applicable to various fluid pipelines, waste gas discharge
pipelines, gas and heat supply pipelines in steel plants, as well
as various heat treatment pipelines, industrial gas pipelines, and
heat pipelines in industrial equipment.
