Product Details
Product Overview
Molybdenum Disilicide (MoSi2) heating elements are high-performance resistance heating components manufactured from pure molybdenum disilicide. When exposed to oxidizing atmospheres at high temperatures, these elements form a protective quartz surface layer that prevents further oxidation. With a maximum operating temperature of 1800°C and working range of 500-1700°C, they are ideal for various high-temperature industrial processes.
Key Features
- Maximum temperature: 1800°C in oxidizing atmospheres
- Self-forming protective quartz surface layer
- Excellent oxidation resistance
- Suitable for continuous high-temperature operations
- Multiple configurations available

Installation Guidelines
Vertical Hanging Method
Due to the material's brittleness at room temperature and plasticity at high temperatures, U-shaped elements should be vertically suspended from the furnace top using support clamps. This prevents mechanical stress on the heating zone and minimizes breakage risk.
Support Clamp Requirements
Specialized clamps are required for 9/18 and 6/12 elements. Proper installation ensures vertical alignment and even heat distribution. The tapered lower end must extend fully into the furnace chamber to prevent localized overheating.
