1. Overview of the Hypertherm 229235

The Hypertherm 229235 is an in-line flow switch and flow sensor. With a monitoring accuracy of 0.6 GPM (≈2.3 L/min), it acts as a "flow sentinel" in the plasma power supply's cooling circuit. A slight drop in water pressure or a slight slowdown in flow rate triggers an immediate alarm and shutdown, protecting the expensive torch and power supply from dry burns. The RTR quick-connect plastic hose connector is plug-and-play, and dual digital/analog outputs convert real-time flow into a 4–20 mA signal readable by the PLC. On-site commissioning can be completed in just ten minutes.
