Differences between picosecond and nanosecond laser
Nanosecond lasers ( Q-Switch lasers) work with a pulse duration counted in nanoseconds. Picosecond lasers work with a pulse duration counted in picoseconds. Picosecond lasts three times shorter than nanosecond. A shorter time of laser exposition causes more effective treatment results. In addition, treatments performed with picosecond laser require shorter convalescence than treatments performed with Q-Switch lasers. Pico second tattoo removal is also less painful, due to shorter time of skin heating.
