S690QL Steel Description

S690QL is a quenched and tempered high-strength low-alloy steel, in compliance with EN 10025:6.Its yield strength is greater than 690MPa, and it is usually used to manufacture low-temperature resistant, high-strength key components and structural parts, such as construction machinery, mining machinery, etc. The S690QL material is heats treated using the quench and temper process and has better bending and welding properties.

The “S” for steel grade S690QL means structural steel.
690 = minimum yield strength (MPa)
The “Q” refers to the delivery condition, in this case to quenched & Tempered.
The “ L” means that the average minimum values for impact energy have been defined at a temperature of -40°C
