1, lightning protection characteristics

This issue has been debated for a long time, people have always thought that aluminum veneer is pure aluminum, better conductivity. To address this problem, ALUSUISSESINGEN GMBH has tested two materials against lightning strikes in a military laboratory in Germany. The results show that the curtain wall connecting mode, no matter aluminum plastic plate or aluminum veneer, can completely protect against lightning strike when lightning strikes instantaneously. Under the action of lightning current, the metal plate or metal surface layer is prone to be melted by lightning. However, because of the good insulation of the polyethylene core layer in the middle, the damage of lightning strike is limited to the skin. From this point of view, the aluminum composite plate has better lightning resistance than the aluminum single plate.

2, fire characteristics

Aluminum veneers do not burn, which is well known. Early aluminum-plastic board is not able to fire, but with the development of aluminum-plastic board technology, the production of fire-resistant aluminum-plastic composite board due to the addition of non-toxic flame retardant materials in the PE, fire performance has been greatly improved, can fully meet the needs of engineering fire protection.

3, the salvage value

Aluminum veneer has a certain residual value, but because of its high cost, compared with almost no residual value of aluminum composite plate, the waste is much larger.

In summary, the above analysis, aluminum veneer and aluminum composite board each has its strengths, but from a large point of view, the application of aluminum plate should be more affordable and environmental protection.
