It uses agitators and heaters to dehydrate and break down food scraps into your own backyard fertilizer.

FAQs:

1. What is Organic Waste/ Wet Garbage?

Items that come from nature and decompose are wet garbage. Example – Kitchen waste, garden waste.

2. What needs to be done to operate the machine?

TOGO is a fully automatic machine. In order to operate the machine, there are three basic steps:

· Open the lid from where the waste would be placed in.

· Place in the waste. Make sure the waste is segregated and only organic waste is being put inside the machine.

· Close the lid and the machine would start its operation of converting the waste into compost.

3. How long does it take for the waste to convert into compost?

The process reduces the volume of waste by 85-90% by evaporating water and discharging warm air. The remaining 10-15% is turned into compost. This whole process takes from 12 to 24 hours for food waste to be converted into compost.

4. Can the compost be used directly in gardens/fields?

Yes. The compost can be used directly in gardens or plants. Since it is concentrated it needs to be mixed with soil in the proportion of 10:1 (soil: compost) and then added to the plants.

5. How do I optimize the performance of TOGO?

The TOGO performs best when different food waste types are mixed together. It performs less well on food waste of a single type such as only vegetable waste, or only bread and pastry waste.
