Descriptions
Alloy 17-4PH (UNS S17400), Type 630, is a chromium-nickel-copper
precipitation-hardening martensitic stainless steel with an
addition of niobium. 17-4PH combines high strength and hardness
with good corrosion resistance.A stable, chromium-nickel-aluminum
steel, 17-7 is a precipitation hardening steel with a high strength
and moderately resistant to corrosion. In terms of corrosion
resistance, 17-7 PH is comparable to 304 stainless steel and a
better choice when compared to the 400 series of stainless steel.
