Detection For Air Quality Monitoring
- Principle: ACD3100 is based on the non - dispersive infrared (NDIR)
principle to detect the carbon dioxide concentration in the air. It
is designed based on the spectral absorption principle of CO₂ gas.
The sensor consists of three parts: a light source, a gas chamber,
and an infrared receiver. When CO₂ flows into the gas chamber
through the gas inlet and out through the gas outlet, it will
absorb infrared light of a specific wavelength in the gas chamber.
The change in CO₂ concentration will affect the infrared absorption
amount, and then the infrared receiver will receive a light source
signal of different intensities. The sensor calculates the CO₂
concentration by detecting the absorbance of infrared light of a
specific wavelength.
