The 2198-P070 drive is an Allen-Bradley Kinetix 5700 drive that features 17 kilowatts of continuous output power. The 2198-P070 drive comes with an input voltage of 324 to 524 Volts AC and it is a 3-phase drive. The 2198-P070 drive weighs 9.92 pounds and it has 4 Amps of inrush current at 245 Volts. The 2198-P070 drive features 780 Microfarads of internal capacitance and it has a width of 55 millimeters. The 2198-P070 drive also features the CIP security™ network, which is a standard open-source communication network that provides the drive with secure data transport across the supported EtherNet/IP™ network. The unit also features secure data transport between the connected devices helping to protect the devices from unauthorized use or tampering.

The 2198-P070 drive features the Safe Torque-Off and the Safe Stop security features. These features are delivered through the supported hardwired connection or the integrated EtherNet/IP network. The unit also features feedback connections made at the 2-pin motor feedback connector. The unit also accepts various high-resolution absolute multi-turn and single-turn encoders. It comes with shared-bus accessories that are used in the typical shared bus configurations. To ensure efficient use of space when installing the 2198-P070 drive, engage the zero-stack tab and the cutout from one drive to another. This allows and ensures that the drive connectors are properly spaced and therefore able to accept the shared bus connection system.
