ProSoft PS69-DPM New In Box

Manufactured by Prosoft Technology, the PS69-DPM is a PROFIBUS DP-V1 Master Interface Module which is used with the MicroLogix or CompactLogix family of controllers to include the PROFIBUS network. The role of this module is to enable communication between the controller and the PROFIBUS network. The module comes with a single slot which is compatible with the 1769 backplane. In addition to this, the users can choose to install multiple modules, in which case the block transfer sizes of both modules should be identical. The PS69-DPM module requires a power supply of 260 milliamperes at 5 Volts, though it can tolerate deviations of +/- 5%. The speed of the communication is 12 megabytes per second, and the communication protocol which is used is the aforementioned PROFIBUS DP-V1.

The module has an input of 244 Bytes per slave maximum, and the same output (244 Bytes per slave). The burst rating of the PS69-DPM is 2 Kilovolts at 5 Kilohertz. When operating in common mode, the PS69-DPM module has a surge voltage of 2 Kilovolts, which drops to 1 Kilovolt during differential mode operation. The PS69-DPM has an EC1-160P with an integrated ASPC2 processor, and the tool which should be used for configuration and diagnostic of this module is PROSOFT.fdt (SYCON.net). The data between the PS69-DPM and the controller is exchanged using the I/O process data image. There are some guidelines to be followed during the installation of this module. First and foremost, power must be removed prior to removal or the installation of the PS69-DPM. Also, the bus lever of the adjoining module is unlocked. The minimum operating temperature is 0 degrees Celsius (32 degrees Fahrenheit), and the maximum temperature is 60 degrees Celsius (140 degrees Fahrenheit). The user must make sure that the aforementioned temperature range is not exceeded, and that the relative ambient humidity does not exceed 95%.
