High resolution knitting mesh strength:

Because of the knitted, interlocking loop structure of knit wire mesh, there is at least a two-way strength with the needed movement to work the material around complex curves and irregular surfaces. The knitting mesh will not come apart and will stay intact over time, with continuous handling or constant vibration. The knitting mesh is also lower in price than many other materials. It can retain its strength even under high heat temperatures. When greater strength is needed because of frequent removal or stress, or when extreme temperatures are reached and oxidation or atmospheric conditions are critical, 0.28mm (0.011 inch) wire is usually applied.
