Quality Assurance High Compressive Strength Acid Proof Acid Proof Silica kiln Refractory Bricks

Silica brick is the acid refractory ,which consist mainly of tridymite, cristobalite, and a small amount of residual quartz and glass phases.

The silica content is 94% or more. It has acid slag corrosion resistance and higher high temperature strength. The load softening start temperature is 1620~1670 °C. Long-term use at high temperatures does not deform. The thermal shock stability is low (heat exchange in water for 1~4 times). This residual expansion will make the joints tight and ensure good air tightness and structural strength of the masonry.

China Rare Earth Holdings Limited ("CRE") (formerly known as Yixing Xinwei Holdings Limited) is one of the leading and well-respected rare earth and refractory products manufacturers in the Peoples' Republic of China ("PRC"). The Group has been listed on The Stock Exchange of Hong Kong Limited since 15 October 1999. It is the first Chinese private enterprise which engages in the manufacture of rare earth and refractory products listing outside the Chinese mainland.

CRE began its business in 1987 in the city of Yixing, Jiangsu Province, the PRC. Commencing operations as a rare earth separating factory, it has grown rapidly to become a recognised rare earth and refractory products manufacturer. The Group successfully obtained ISO9002 quality certification in January 1999. Its annual production capacity reaches 6,500 tonnes (REO) rare earth products and 100,000 tonnes refractory products. Fluorescent materials, polishing agents and high temperature ceramics are other major product lines of the Group.

The Group operates a rare earth separating factory and a refractory production factory. The rare earth separating factory comprises a smelting rare earth products workshop, several rare earth extraction lines and many cutting edge equipment while the refractory production factory embraces a refractory products workshop with several high-temperature tunnel kilns, light tonnage brick pressers and pre-moulded production lines. The Group believes that the high quality production facilities could produce the best rare earth and refractory products.

The industrial applications for rare earth products include high-tech electronic devices, computers, electronic motors, LCDs, DVDs, magnetic materials, magnetic memory chips, fibre optics, superconductors, mobile phone batteries, precision optics and many energy-saving environmental protection products. Refractory products are used extensively in heat-treatment facilities for petrochemical, steel metallurgy, non-ferrous metallurgy, glass, construction materials, chemical fertiliser and ceramics industries. Rare earth products of the Group are mainly exported to the United States of America, Japan, Europe and Korea, and its refractory products are mainly for domestic sales and export to Japan. Its client list includes names of international prominence, such as General Electric, Nippon Electric Glass, Siemens, Shin-et Chemical and Krosaki Harima, to name but a few.

The Group has a research and development centre that focus on improving existing products and developing new products. Building and maintaining relationships with clients and exploring new businesses are the responsibility of its talented sales and marketing department. Concerning the environmental protection as well as the market needs, the Group will continue to develop environmental friendly and high value-added products.

Application of Silicon Nitride Bonded Silicon Carbide Bricks

Silicon nitride combined with silicon carbide refractory products is a high-tech refractory material developed in the past 30 years. Both silicon nitride and silicon carbide bricks are covalent bond compounds, have similar physical and chemical properties, and maintain high bond strength at high temperatures. Silicon powder evenly surrounds silicon carbide, and after high temperature nitridation reaction, a dense network structure is formed. Therefore, silicon nitride combined with silicon carbide products have a series of excellent properties such as high temperature resistance, corrosion resistance, wear resistance, erosion resistance, and oxidation resistance, and It has good resistance to all inorganic acids other than hydrofluoric acid, is not wetted by molten metal, especially non-ferrous metal, and can resist the erosion of most non-ferrous metal melts. As a refractory material, the normal use temperature can reach about 1500 ℃ in various atmospheres, and it is widely used in ceramics, non-ferrous metallurgy, iron and steel metallurgy, powder metallurgy, chemical industry and other industries.

The main preparation methods of silicon nitride combined silicon carbide products The preparation methods of silicon nitride include: direct nitridation of silicon powder, carbothermic reduction of silica, Si(NH)2 thermal decomposition, SiH4 and NH3 gas-phase reaction method. Under normal circumstances, the generation method of silicon nitride in the reaction sintered silicon nitride combined silicon carbide product is the direct nitridation method of silicon powder. At high temperature, nitrogen diffuses into the interior of the silicon powder particles and combines to form silicon nitride.

The preparation of silicon nitride combined silicon carbide products goes through seven steps: raw material processing, batching, mixing, molding, drying, nitriding firing, and product inspection. The nitriding raw materials are mainly industrial green silicon carbide and silicon powder. The raw materials are pretreated by crushing, washing and other methods. The silicon carbide sand and silicon powder are weighed according to the formula, and the silicon carbide raw materials of different particle sizes are put into the mixer as required. Dry mix, then add organic binder to warm mix, fully stir for 15-20 min, after sieving, put it into the silo for stuffy storage for 24 hours.
