Milling Application Tips:
1. Before installing the tool, first check the wear of the tool. If
there are defects such as broken edge and serious wear, replace the
tool with a new one or use it after repair.
2. Before installation, the relevant surfaces must be cleaned and
wiped, and the burrs on the gasket and orifice must be carefully
removed to prevent the dirt and burrs from affecting the accuracy
of the tool installation position.
3. When clamping the tool with a washer, the two ends of the washer
must be parallel to each other as far as possible. If the milling
cutter is found to be skewed after installation, the washer
position shall be adjusted to minimize the cumulative error of the
washer. Until the milling cutter does not shake after driving.
4. When installing the taper shank milling cutter, the taper
between the milling cutter, the intermediate sleeve and the spindle
must be consistent, and the installation center and the tool center
should be concentric as far as possible.
5. After the tool handle is inserted into the main shaft, the
milling cutter is tensioned with the tensioning screw. It should be
noted that the rotation direction of the milling cutter must be
consistent with the thread direction of the pull rod, so that the
thread of the pull rod and the milling cutter can be connected more
tightly during the rotation, otherwise the milling cutter will be
in danger of falling out.
6. Without affecting the processing, try to make the milling cutter
close to the spindle bearing and the hanger bearing close to the
milling cutter. If the milling cutter is far away from the main
bearing, a hanger bearing should be installed between the main
bearing and the milling cutter.
7. When installing the milling cutter, the key should not be
removed. Because there is no key on the cutter shaft, if the force
is uneven during milling or under the condition of heavy load
cutting, the milling cutter tends to slip. At this time, the cutter
shaft itself bears great radial resistance and resistance, which is
easy to bend the cutter shaft and damage the fixed washer.
8. After the milling cutter is installed, check the relevant
washers and nuts again to prevent loosening. Check the radial
runout or end runout of the milling cutter with a dial indicator to
see if it is within the allowable range.
9. After the cutter shaft is removed, it should be hung on the rack
to prevent the cutter shaft from bending and deformation. In
special cases, when horizontal storage is required, wood chips or
other soft objects shall be padded to prevent scratches and
deformation.
